Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

Author Guidelines

The journal accepts original and unpublished works (individually or collectively), in a continuous flow basis, of PhD and M.Sc, in the form of scientific articles, interviews and reviews. Undergraduates and graduates may only submit papers in co-authorship with PhDs.

In exceptional cases, the journal evaluates submissions of previously published texts that have been translated into a language other than the original.

Papers can be submitted in one of the three languages: Portuguese, Spanish and English.

The author must remove his / her name and possible allusions of identification, with a view to ensuring blind peer review. The "Author Properties" field must be empty.

In cases of self-citation, the authors of the manuscript should replace the "Author's name" for the word "Author", excluding the reference year of the work. The same procedure should be adopted in bibliographical references.

The biography of the author and co-authors should be informed only in the submission form. In completing the form, the authors must include institutional affiliation, degree and e-mail address. The authors must inform the principal institution in which they work; name of the graduate program; college and department. They must also inform their greater academic degree and the institution where they obtained their title. In the case of master and doctoral students, they must inform the institution where they study.

All texts submitted to the journal undergo a desk review process that includes two basic procedures: in a first screening, the compliance with the formal requirements established in the journal submission rules is verified; In the sequence, plagiarism is verified by a specific software.

In the case of identification of plagiarism or other type of disagreement with the norms, the work is rejected and the author is informed.

Once accepted in the first instance, with no identification of authorship, the text passes through two peer reviews by members of the Editorial and Advisory Board and / or adhoc referees. In case of divergence of opinions, the work is submitted to a third evaluator.

The result of the evaluation is communicated to the author(s), accompanied by a summary of the reviews. The final decision on the publication is a responsibility of the Editorial Team.

The authors are responsible for the content of the articles, interviews and reviews, including the originality of the text and the image rights. They should also ensure that work is not being evaluated by another journal.

An author who has had his / her text published in the journal should consider an interval of 12 months from the publication of the article to make a new submission to the journal.

Dossiers, academic articles, technical articles and student articles:

5,000-8,000 words, containing analysis, debate and conclusion on academic subjects. They must have short titles and subtitles. The references should be listed, at the end of the text, in the item 'References'. Attachments and glossaries will not be accepted.

The text must also include title, abstract in the two languages requested and bibliographical references in the 5,000-8,000 words limit.

If there are images, indicate in the body of the text the place of insertion and send them in separate files. The images should be presented in high resolution (300 dpi - jpg or tif) and minimum width of 10 cm (proportional height).

1) The author should send the work in a digital file (Microsoft Word, OpenOffice or RTF, as long as it does not exceed 2MB), in Times New Roman font, A4 format, 12 size, 1,5 line spacing, in submission to the SEER system.
